FHE: Lip Sync Edition

Every Monday, my family gets together to have what we call Family Home Evening (FHE). This is a time where we can come together as a family one day each week to have a spiritual lesson and fun activities to go along! Yesterday we decided to have a short lesson and hold our own version of the Lip Sync Battles that Jimmy Fallon has on his late night shows! I found this idea on Pinterest that was planned as a youth activity at church! This was so much fun, the kids loved it and I think my parents loved it even more! We wrote popular (clean and kid appropriate) songs on slips of paper in a bowl and we each picked a song and we had to perform in front of each other! I don’t think I have laughed harder in my entire life! This was such a fun, wholesome activity that let our family become closer and spend time together! And of course, you can’t have a family activity without delicious snacks! I don’t know about you guys, but I am obsessed with donuts! I found this fun and easy recipe on Pinterest (can’t you tell I love Pinterest too??) and HAD to try it out! They turned out perfectly and were SO yummy! Here are some snap shots we took during this crazy fun activity! 🙂

This is our sweet little sister Anna singing Don’t Stop Believing by Journey! She may not have known all the words but she definitely made the most out of it! She had some great moves and really got into the song! 🙂

Great pointing poses must run in the family! This is our brother Alex singing Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus and he absolutely killed it! I didn’t snap the picture fast enough when he was floating like a butterfly when she sings “the butterflies fly away” but it was great!

Last but not least, the beautiful creations that were made last night! This was such a fast recipe and it turned out great! We used powdered sugar instead of regular sugar which was suggested, but I’m sure that would taste just as great!

XOXO
